Well I finally decided and picked it up

Well finally opted for an 03 1150 GSA, ABS (was a bit worried about that a little bit after hearing all the horror stories) with 40K on the clock, complete with d-cat and remus exhaust plus HID kit and spot lights and full BMW Luggage.
Wow! is all I can say spent most of yesterday and today on her round the back doubles, feels great and so planted on the road, was surprised by how tall she is even for me and I'm 6ft 4", there are a few quirks I need to get used to, but love the sound as you roll on the throttle coming out of a bend, couldn't believe how nimble she can be.
Just need to sort out more suitable off road atire (currently use a shortie textile jacket, Spidi leather trousers and Alpinestar boots)and I'm going to look at joining the local off road group that do runs out onto Salisbury Plain etc.

Excellent choice of bike; you could do worse than come along to the Hogroast where you'll find almost every GS modification on display, plenty of owners willing to chat, and a plains ride-out

ps - My servo braked GSA was flawless for the 7 years I had it; they do say regular changes of fluid helps, but even if it does fail there is a detailed 'how to' for removal.
