Well I've gone and done it!

I bought a 2003 model 1150GS and took it out for its second run today. From Edinburgh to Peebles, Selkirk, Hawick and back.

I've never had so much fun since I bought my first bike (Honda VFR).

This GS is awsome!

It just begs to go fast around corners, and then some. It just keeps asking to find it twisty roads and get off the fast A roads.
Took it on some of my favourite roads and found myself going 5-10mph faster on every bend. Even the bends that were not my favourites were taken with relative ease and higher speed. it just inspires so much confidence, with its sure handling and superb braking.

It makes you feel like a cornering GOD! Which I know i am not.

Thanks to everyone here for the great advice and I look forward to a long relationship with this new love of my life! and many happy hours on this website.

And its not got the ABS, and I think I can live with that.

Now! Anyone looking for a well cared for VFR or Pan European?
