You'll have fun getting the battery bobbins off if they have rusted in place. All part of the airhead experience![]()
Ohhhhh yes, I remember that little job. I think it was a hacksaw job in the end, they were totally scrap...

It's not captive. They usually end up spinning if you try to drill them I usually end up taking the centre out with an angle grinder.

Don't know where you are at the moment but theres a Engineering place in Hampshire that usually stocks it
Roe Engineering in Fleet, Hampshire. Phone number is..........01252 613404.
Hi Shep
If you are near Roe Engineering you cant be far from me. I live within a mile of the place. Never been in there but always wondered what they did.
I have a 1989 R100GS and I am pretty good on Bing carbs and electrics if you run into problems in these areas.
Steve
There is a much better place in Fleet for rebores etc, in fact my M33 barrel is in there now...![]()

You'd need a big board. Have you seen the size of Kev?![]()

Well i've been doing OK till now
Steering head bearing races they've got me stumped for now, spent a couple of hours making a nice little puller to retreive the races, only for it to snap at the first attempt
Heating the frame up now and i'm gonna beat it up with a hammer, it might not do the job but at least i might feel better
Two little holes is all that they needed to drill, would have been easy
