Well, look what the cat's dragged in.

Nice start !!!!

Work up to the S version,or better still a 950SE !!!

990 is nice but a 950 is SOOOO much nicer.honestly !!!

firm up the springs goes a good way to improving the handling. Heavier front springs and a remap made the biggest differences to my 990. Finally (after 4 years got it to feel better than the previous 950).

Girls version:D but will mod the suspension to S spec, I figured to get the bike I wanted and alter it to suit me:)

Yes, I have firmer springs on the 640 and its a big improvement :thumb

950 now has a 2 into 1 exhaust with aux fuel tank and I've drop a tooth on the front sprocket:)
Fitted an Oberon clutch slave and have an electronic trigger for the fuel pump to fit then Ill overhaul the water pump!
:beerjug:

in your hands Tim that will be a right weapon :beerjug:

and you got the best colour too enjoy :thumb2

Best of luck with it Tim. I would personally recommend the suede type seat from KTM ( I can get you the part number if you like). It worked a treat for me in Maroc and long days in France and Spain.

Hi Tim,
I'd be interested in your original y piece if its in decent nick?

Overhaul the water pump with a CJ Designs kit........ 60k mile guarantee!

Or better still get James Renazco to make you one tailored to your weight, height, inside leg and balance of on/off road riding.

I had the KTM suede seat on my 950S :

It was basically a standard seat covered in suede.

But the Renazco seat on my SE is the best seat I've ever sat on.

Can ride all day and not feel one ache or twinge.

A couple of other good sites for all things KTM :

Black Dog. Their skid plate is the strongest known to man and other great bits like their tail rack.

KTM Sommer used to do some good stuff such as modified airbox covers etc.

Here's a lovely Texas girl rubbing the seat where my sweaty balls sit:D

640's loaded complete with Renazco for another 3 weeks of this in a US heatwave:eek
I'm unsure that any 950 will be a better bike than this though:):)
