BBQ update

As an aside, here are the latest images of the BBQ showing the lid which also doubles as an ash collector and also a table when the food has been cooked.

Horse is going to do some severe testing on it so hopefully his constructive suggestions will allow me to evolve it further.

as the Yanks would say:

" i'm ready for pulling the trigger"

When will you have more ready Mark?

Mark, what size is the grill area?

Used our folding one again at the weekend and it's warping and is a bugger to clean. I really like that yours could be put in the dishwasher piece by piece for cleaning.

Cheers,

J.

Larger verison

Yes mate, if there was the interest but sometimes when I have converted the `interest` into `firm orders` they tend to dry up.

Because this item is very expensive anyway, and only sized at fitting into a pannier, the thought of the price makes my hair curl for a larger one.

Currently, the cost for a sheet of 2mm thick stainless is around £200 and I only get 4 BBQ`s to a sheet so £50 of the price is material even before I cost up the laser and the time taken to hand finish it.

Understood, many thanks for that. Will check with the girlfriend but pretty certain we'll want a small one, and may consider a larger one. As we only have a balcony, a full size bbq takes up too much space, but a decent folding one would be a great thing to have.

Will get back to you shortly with definites.

OK, once you've finalised the design we would definitely like one of the current size, should be enough for the two of us, as you say.

Choices

They are ready now mate at www.cymarcbikeparts.co.uk and have evolved to a fairly good result so far including the sexy lid/base/tabletop.

However `HORSE` is going to put one through some extreme testing and he may reveal some significant weak spots which i can remedy on future models.

Its up to you mate, I am happy with where it has got to so far and it is in keeping with my quality and personal `ethos` so I am happy to sell them now but you are more than welcome to await the testing report from HORSE.

It`s not as if I need the money so, please, only buy when you feel you wish to and, in anycase, my offer of full refund is applicable to everything I make so you won`t loose out either way.

One for HORSE

Ok mate, the one for HORSE will go out to him this week then it`s in his capable hands for testing.................

Hi mark
The bbq will be tested to offroad riding, to being used at home, taken to horse shows that the other half does with her mates. Oh and a few secret tests i have planned.:augie

Im sure the bbq will withstand all tests with flying colours.:thumb

Mmmmmmmm

Hiya mate, thanks for that and I do hope so!

I am sure there will always be room for improvement and if I can just at least continually develop the BBQ to the advantage of other members then I am doing the right thing.

I must, however, try to do this as quickly as possible as I am being pushed by other members who wish to buy them.

I am posting yours today mate :thumb2

Please PM Dave the Driver and tell him you`ve got one for just a couple of bottles of wine as it`ll wind him up :bounce1

Best regards,

Mark.
