Well that looks sh*t

Double knee op - ouch ! Are you still in rehab post-op ?

Muscle only grows when provided a stimulus plus the protein your body needs to build it, and adequate rest to repair.

Some form of resistance training like kettlebell squats (or just body weight callisthenics) can work wonders for fast twitch fibres, as can sustained cardio based exercise for slow twitch fibres such as indoor rowing, mountain biking, swimming amongst many others.

The obvious other factor is time, it won’t regrow overnight.

Good luck with rebuilding your leg strength and mobility/flexibility, if you put the work in it will happen.

Op was October 23. Picked the bike up march 24.
Knees are great but the deep nerve damage in the thighs are the issue. Apparently they don’t normally tourniquet but my legs were BIG so they did.
Can take a few years so they say so I’ll just plug on and see where I end up.
Next step weight loss 🫣

I tried my rear passenger seat in the forward position for the first time ever yesterday.
Felt great sitting on the bike in the garage.

However, when I got moving I hated it. I felt I could not move around anymore. Lasted about 15 miles before the rear seat went back to the rear position.

The gap doesn’t look too bad if you have matching seats or cool covers.

Best seat combination so far has been the standard height Sargent seats. But they need to be broken in to get comfortable. They are quite firm. I like a bit of heat on my seat when the weather isn’t boiling. Tried the cool covers. They are definitely more comfortable with any seat combination. However, as they are sort of double layered. You can’t feel any seat heating.

I’m current using the BMW heated comfort seats in standard height. Front of the riders seat is on high. Rear of that seat on low. Passenger seat in rear position. Bike is a factory low R1250GS Adventure. I’m 5’11” and about 14 stone.
