Done loads of hard green laning in the peaks on the 1150 and have just got back from three days in the sierra nevada off roading a yam 250 so hope that helps?

My 1150 adventure weighs a little more that the Yam so this could get interesting.

Anyone got any useful little gems of information that will assist popping my cherry? :bounce1

A guy last week just couldnt understand why i would want to take my GS off road! Well he was a banker, so that makes sense.... ;)

Ive done some pretty hardcore stuff on my 12gs some much in fact i destroyed the clutch at 24k :eek: ask anybody thats been on our green lanes for big bikes, but i know what you mean about most gsers met somebody the other day with all kinds of tourntwat crap when i asked about offroading he looked at me like i was mental :blast (for the record i maybe!)

Any hoo Ive got a xchallenge now to lighten the load on the GS where do you find the information on these rallies, is there a central Org or anything?

cant wait to get packed tonight and roll up to the office on a "im just about to lap the world, slightly overloaded and too much food on board" appearance :blast

seriously though, I am still fine tuning my camping kit for the bike, still a tad lardy but deffo getting better!
I'd hate to sit and polish and look at instead of using.

I have BASHED up touratech panniers on my LOVELY silver 1150 GSA. You'll spot me cos I'll be wiping mud all over my bike to make sure i look serious. :thumb2

twat suited one

in a moment of naivety I also signed up , just look for the nervous dude on a ktm 950 adventure with a twat suit on , bugger all this body armour stuff , the speed Im going it wont hurt that much if/when I come off!
