not done it since it was an international ('kin years) but if it's anything like it used to be, you'll need a good back up team to meet you at pit stops with petrol. they'll need to be able to navigate & get a bit of a move on get there on time.
it was fecking hard riding, but great fun on tracks you can't access normally.
If you have the chance, do it. The last single lap Enduro in the UK, but every year it gets harder to get land access.
Last time I entered it was dry on day one and I managed to stay on time. It persisted it down in the night and I lost 23 minutes (and the will to live ) on just one check! Scraped through the rest of the day and got in with only another couple of minutes lost.
Go on, you know you want to!

I did it about 4 years ago, as a passenger on a combination.
Day1 was nice and dry, with the fast going we managed to wreck the bike by lunchtime, so abandoned it to get the bike fixed..
Over night it chucked it down...
Day 2 started wet and got worse. I know we hour'd out early on, and single-handedly wiped out most of the pink posts and pretty tape on the first special test...
And that was that...
i keep thinking about doing it again, though on the xchallenge this time..
Hi Brommer
I have been to every Welsh Two Day since 1975 as a competitor or marshall, these days the single lap is about 160 miles and is reversed onthe Friday the going is mainly pine forest with some open moorland all joined up with some public road sections and two special tests each day. As the other guys have said if its wet it can be trickey, the entry is usualy between 5 and 6 hundred riders so what may be a puddle when the first rider goes through can be an endless bog when the last one gets there.
If you have chance to do it have a go its a very special event.
