Welsh off-roading 28-30th Oct

I'm still Going.

Transport wise I have a LWB transit from Thursday evening, so plans are to go up first thing Friday Morning. I'm at J26 M25 and I am picking up Greg J25 M25 on the way. Room for one more conditional on you being on the way or getting yourself to J26/25.

I also have a large Trailer (can take up to 3 bikes) that anyone can borrow.
:)

I don't have a trailer, but I think I have space in the back of the van (which hasn't got a towing bracket) for another Pogo (if they are somewhere between Reading and where we are going).

Hiya Fred, I don't know what off-road experience you have. If you've done loads before, maybe you could do it on an R80Gs. It's your call.

Phil

Simon has definately confirmed as going and so have I. Will be travelling in my van to Wales, only enough room for two bikes in it though.

See you guys their then. :thumb

Phil you could stick your DRZ in my garage before the event if that makes things easier

Phil' would this be doable on my G/S on trailwings, be very interested in coming if you feel my bike can handle it
Matkat

Fred I had a long chat with the people at the Hotel who organise it and they said it wasn't doable on the beemers... said that pogo sticks were very much needed...

Feck it - put me down Phil - I'll have to get used to teh new bike before then...but count me in... :)

Any space in one of the vans / trailers...? I'm nr. Dartford.

Hmm sounds like we need a practice Sunday before we go.

sounds good Bandit...I pick up the bike next Friday, so I'll be spending that weekend out on it and throwing it about no doubt...

When would the practise be? Do we want a quick Hertfordshire wombat hunt?

Dave, I'm up for an early start on the Friday - early enough to get around the NW quarant of the M25 before it fills with computers.

I've got some hardware to add to the DR-Z. Namely:

  • CFC Case Shields from Thumpertalk in Las Vegas. I've managed for nearly 2 years without them, but just recently Martin from work (some us us rode the Pilgrims' Way with him) dropped his bike in his garage and the brake lever punched a hole in the engine case!!
  • Sprocket Case Saver from B&B Aluminium in Victoria, Australia - to prevent rocks wedging between the case and the front sprocket and punching a whole in that case!
  • Stainless output sleeve from eBay to prevent the seal from getting shagged!

:hammer

Thanks for the offer Dave. Probably be easier though if I rode over on the Friday morning. What time are you planning on leaving?

Phil
