Local guy who i get filters and such from had a 12 GS on ramp ,which he told me he had in for 3 weeks trying to find the fault . So he did find out the part ,it was starter motor ,it had seized solid , So was looking at rest of bike and what i say was big shock , the front cover was totally rotten ,the finish was so bad , but glad it is not my bike . Really glad that i have a much better bike in the 1100 . Just my thoughts .

If it weren't for the tools lying around in the last photo, I'd say that bike had been hit by a train! :eek

The bike i seen was in one piece ,but the finish was just as bad on front cover and the fins were just as bad .

sorry to burst your bubble fella. but the 1100 front cover is just as prone as any other boxer to the paint bubbling and so on and so forth.

If you think it is.. you're liable to have a nasty shock some day.
