West Coast and North Coast 29th December

Looks ambitious to say the least but when you make it to Ullapool please call in on my little bruvver (Ian) who's in the process of opening Ullapool Motorcycles (see what he did there??) in time for next years crop of midge dodging bikers. By going now you are depriving midges of their livelihood - I hope you can live with yourself!!

I'll sleep very soundly but then I am a cold hearted b.stard like that.

Its going to be no colder nor difficult than driving to the Elephant rally and thousands do that every year and camp, at several below zero, has to be warmer than riding in Norway in winter and people do that!!!
FFS its only Scotland its not the end of the world, go for it.

Did it in the car last week... ;-)

Did a similar trip in early January a couple of years ago. Snow in Glencoe and the Cairngorms
but loved it. Cabin fever is strong with this one :D

Still very mild for December and it has been reasonably dry too,if you are on Facebook keep an eye on Highlands and Islands weather for a forecast that is more accurate than most.
There are still quite a few hardy souls out and about on two wheels around the North West and for the most part the roads are empty especially between 9am and 3 pm, (when its actually daylight !) enjoy your trip.

A tropical 11 degrees in Moray today and not a breath of wind, lovely :D
