West London meet - change of scenery

Maybe it was same old venue and a lack of mojo, but am throwing this open for discussion with regular attendees, the suggestion is a change of venue but still within the same area.

Old Red Lion , Leacroft, Staines

16th century pub situated close to the railway station and town centre. It comprises a main bar, front patio, beer garden and car park. Real ales are Courage Best, Fullers London Pride and a guest ale that regularly changes. Food is served Mon-Sat lunchtimes and includes fishermans platter, chicken satay, gammon, ploughmans, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, daily specials & bar meals.

Anglers Retreat , Laleham

Thames Court Hotel, Towpath, Shepperton

The Kings Head, Ashford

Its me age , I knew it (as you mentioned it before) but I forgot the name of it and food is good .. ? and car parking is to the front and side (council car park ?) and layby in main road as I recall ..

the food was very good the last time I went herby italien chicken with apricots and some side stuff...

The king head is good on a warm evening, but tiny inside unless you are in the 'harvester' bit on the side to eat. Car park is big, but full of vans and old people.

Kingfisher, or Thames Court are good ideas, Anglers is ok but mostly for eating.

Good to hear your back on track. I got some random (dcct corrected) number last visit to the nurse, who couldn't show me the correlation to the mol/ml numbers so I'll go see the doc in a couple of weeks.

Ian, it has taken 2 months, and BG is 8.7 (on Saturday) which is the break thru, and also sounding alert

I was taking that into account and was trying not to cross the river.

The Kings Head may too close for IanF as swmbo can pull him by out of the place his ear
