Wester Ross Weekend (Applecross, Torridon, Poolewe, Aultbea)

Thanks very much for the photo's, brings back some great memories.

Red point is one of the girlfriends favorite places as she used to escape there for a few weeks at a time whilst doing her masters. We have a friend that runs a whale watching boat out of Gairloch, lucky sod.

I'm heading up that neck of the woods this weekend, camping at Red Squirrel on the Friday then onwards to Applecross for the Sat then home Sunday, so I would be interested what route you took Garfield ?

cheers

Planning a foray up that way myself in May, would appreciate the route you took Garfield. Some mates are spending a week based in Inverness, but are heading down to Oban for their last day (Friday). I plan to meet them for that, then carry on myself for the weekend.
Excellent photos by the way. :thumb

Into Torridon and round the Applecross before stopping at the Youth Hostel for the night

From Torridon, there's a track running along the North side of Loch, similarly on the way to Gairloch, you can't miss the turn off for Red Point (it's well signed), rest of the route was straightforward....

and lastly, what the 800 or so miles actually looked like.....
