I'm so close now I'm tempted to do a day and night in the Western Sahara, what's the story?

You'll be fine.

Just keep to the tracks and don't wander too far off them as there are still land mines out there, you will be very very unlucky if you happen to find and set one off.

I did the Piste between Semara and Laayoune a few years ago.

If I go there I won't be wandering of any tracks, it's hard enough to ride the tracks let alone go completely wild....

Facing south, you're ok going to the right, but not so going to the left.

Make sure that any paper maps are up to date with Morocco only on them. Anything with Western Sahara on it will be confiscated...and you are likely to be asked!
