Added Clearwater Darlas on BMW mounts, and a Billie brake light and Stebel horn. All were run and connected by the CANopener.

The CAN opener allows you to control the intensity of the Darlas through the Wonderwheel, go full bright with the high beams and the horn, controls an aftermarket horn, with or without the stock horn in place, and controls the Billie aux brake light!

Hopefully the owner will post a few photos. It was late and he needed to go.

What was that you were speaking, I have absolutely no idea what it is you just posted.

Is he he is highlighting the Oil Leak from that little hole in the first picture ?.

Keep up at the back, it's not that difficult, is it?:rob:blast

He's fitted aftermarket lights to a customers bike, and you can adjust the brightness with the integrated wheel on the left handlebar, by using something called a CANopener.

It is all written in plain English for you.:comfort:D

Just spoken to my better half who is really good with our can opener and she reckons that it's dead easy to fit lights using this kitchen implement.
She's just not sure whether the dimmer switch from the lounge will fit on the bars.
Can anyone help?

I've heard BMW were charging extra for paint, but I think it's a bit much expecting us to start fitting lights and a horn ourselves:toungincheek

Still. nice they give you a free Can Opener with your purchase...

That blue is a nice colour though. Wonder how much the thieving fecktards charge for that ?.

I keep forgetting that this forum is more about taking a piss than sharing info! :blast

None the less, I hope a few of the people reading this enjoy and learn, like I do on those rare occasions when someone posts something other than whining and sarcasm!:D

Go back to the parts department Jim - ask if they have a sense of humour in your size.

Then re-read your original post and try to imagine that not all your readers are familiar with the trade names you use. You might then understand that your post was less than clear... :P

The Forum is international, The Manufacturers started taking the piss by charging for Paint, why should we continue the theme...

I think my dry English point is Why would you want to put all that crap on your bike?

Has anybody seen the pictures of the LCRT Adventure, extra mirrors, crash bars, lights... why don't these people just buy a 4x4.

You're obviously not English or a regular thats why you don't understand. None of the comments (so far) are malicious just said in jest. Are you a mericun, if so you have a different/missing sense of humour. :blast

Thanks for posting this up Jim, I know that you put a great deal of enthusiasm into everything you do, and share it too -I learned a lot from your "changing final drive oil 2005" and it made my life easier (to name but one event). And no, I am not in the Wetlands yet, but am eying up a RS, should it ever appear.

Oh I got it, I know that a few were trying to be funny, and one clueless. But, as I really do not understand/appreciate the humor all the time on the forum, I imagine you do not understand us much better.:beerjug:

Oddly enough, I really love British humor on TV and in movies. Maybe it is the missing tone that throws me off? :nenau

Dont worry Jim just keep posting up the mods someone will learn from them maybe not today but its always here for the future :beerjug:

....translated I think the original post said.

I've fitted some really good lights low down so that their purpose becomes more look at me than look how much more I can see.

It goes on to say that it's been done in a way that means the look at me need/value has been increased because the rider is likely to be fecking around adjusting his knob rather than paying attention to the road ahead
