What’s so special about Brembo?

Caught my foreskin in a YKK zipper when I was a kid my dad had to cut the zip off with tin snips, he had a hell of a job quality zips those YKKs
True story
I actually think this is a great analogy. I’ve had many garments with shit zips, but never had a YKK that failed me. Same, same with Brembo, but I have had brake fluid leak out of the middle of a Harley caliper. I’ve also had the fucker overheat and melt my pads (probably cause I overfilled with fluid though 
)
Do think newer Brembo pads are shit though and don’t last as long as EBC.

They give nice master cylinder sweat bands when you buy their brake pads.

I have Suzuki Brembo's fitted to my 1999 Hayabusa using the brackets made by helperformance.
The OEM Tokico 6 pots are not the best calipers in the world.
Also EBC pads are way better than Brembo pads IMO.

Yeah Steve at HEL recommended EBC pads in the HEL calipers
I had a ride on a mates S1000XR gen 2 which had the hayes calipers and i have to say i was very impressed with them compared to the stock Brembos on my Multistrada at the time
However the Brembo M50s were a big step up and then when you get to Brembo stylema another massive step upwards even though they look identical and it is hard to figure out what the £200+ per side difference is until you ride with them
Then when you put some HH sintered EBC pads in they get even better

At the other end of the scale how about this.
How the F can anybody tool up for, cast, machine/finish, assemble, paint, pack and then ship half way around the world a suposedly high-precision motorcycle component such as this to be sold for ten quid and still enable all those involved to make a profit?

Totally agree that EBC are far better pads than Brembo...just replaced mine on the GS after seeing rusty surface on backing plates. On removal I could see they had plenty of life in them (probably 10% used) but they looked shocking. I replaced them with EBC HH and the braking has been transformed! Love the Busa!
