Southern GSers?

Guys,

With the exception of Big Fella and Jockser, no one from the South has written into the thread. Can I at least ask that people give me an indication if they are going and if so, what days?

I am organising a type of Poker Run (you won't have seen anything like this before) except it does not involve cards, fellas freezing their bollox off waiting for groups to show up or fiddly bits of paper to collect. It also gets people out on runs that highlight great roads and can be run over two days. It also will work for people who can attend on one of the two days.

Also, I am trying to get numbers so I can go back to the hotel to organise a meal for Saturday night and a rough idea of how will be camping in the grounds. There is still a triple room up for grabs at the hotel. So let me know.

Didn't think the hardest bit of organising this would be trying to get a response from people on this site!
 
Don't know yet if I will be there for the o/night, will try, but will deffo be there early on the Sunday.

Hadrian, delighted to have you along - you've just increased the southern contingent by 50% :D :D

Watch this space for further info - not sure yet of details of Saturday but it would be good if the southerners could meet up & arrive en masse - bit of protection against them nordies, don't ya know :D :D

There is only one triple room left at the Lakeside but there are other options available. Jockser send a few links on Post 37.

Looks like everywhere is booked due to the power boat racing, will still come out for the ride and if there is a meal on the night we will be up for that as it is only about 40 miles for us

he's booked the rooms on his card on the faith of you how have posted turning up..

now after me spouting that...i've been beat for the whole of the month..between Road races, stag doo, weddings and going out for a friends birthday...if this hadn't been the case i would have been up for it :D

try and make it work or i'll put eyebrow hits outs on ya all :thumb

Isn't it well for ya to have a social life - the rest of us have to make do with this place - and the odd ( very odd, some would say ;) ) ride out :D :D

We were hoping to have a go at your eyebrows too :)

In fact, I heard a rumour that the award for 'longest distance' was gonna be your left one :D

The Sunday run would be ideal to blow out the cobwebs after a day spent eatin', drinkin' & listening to speeches :thumb

you will never believe this but i just checked with the hotel as to why it is so busy the weekend we are going.............

turns out that as well as the speedboats it is the final of the world lapdancing championships, and its free to anyone who has a room at the hotel! :thumb

What are the chances??? :rolleyes:

You are a very naughty boy, Trev, winding up the old farts like that ;) Some of us have enough trouble getting a leg over the GS, never mind anything else.......

Unfortunately am fully committed Errol for the next lot of weeks. Glad you are organising though.

Perhaps if some others could reply also, even if we cannot turn up, at least Errol will be able to work out numbers etc for the venue.
