I emailed them and asked for a price for the following:-
2 x 55w H4 bulbs and ballasts (GS1200)
4 x 55w H7 Hi/Lo bulbs and ballasts (a Norton, a Guzzi and the Tranny van)
1 x 35w H7 Hi/Lo bulb and ballast (an old Norton wi a 60w Generator)
I seem to remember about £205 including delivery, but then I had to order another wiring harness, another £20.
I had one ballast fail and they replaced it under warranty.

Looks like this kit would do both main and dip on the 1200 for about £45 delivered.

Or get this 10 piece kit and sell some on to other forum members, about £18 per bulb'n'ballast.

Some of these of course are only 35w but it shows how much stuff they have available. Make sure you ask for 55w, probly a wee bit dearer, but still cheap as chips.

the ones linked in ebay are 35W and if u go for the slim ballast they work out at £65 - u can get superior kit 55w for the same price from les.

Like I said, email the guy and ask.
Not bothered which option folk go for, just supplying the info

Note that the 1200GS has H7 bulbs, not H4 as in your suggestions.......
The only recent GS to use H4s was the 1100.

If you fit a dipped beam unit from Les, its a doddle, and as the previous pictures show, its very straight forward. You can keep the bulb for a spare if your touring and easily convert back.

Am on holiday in France at the moment so cannot defend myself on this thread as my internet is very limited but the pictures on page 12 with the quote of "the only thing wrong" it's not one of my Ultra Slim Kits in the picture so they mount much better and my P&P kits come with new drilled and mounted light caps.

Correct and all with full warranty, cheers Rob :thumb2

Definitely fit a 50W HiD kit..........replacement bulbs don't really make any difference.

As for your HiD bulb going on a tour - my plan would be to:

a) Remove HiD bulb
b) Remove High Beam Bulb
c) Disconnect Hid wiring from back of unit + seal hole with tape
d) Connect High Beam Bulb in place of dipped

Allows you to continue your journey, albeit without full beam, without the need for carrying any replacements.

Hi,

Did a bit of a search for the HID kit Wassals / Wassells but couldn't find anyone selling them.

Anyone got a link or a telno or email.

Thx
Mark.

I'm very keen on getting a set of these but am concerned that I have to drill out the covers at the back of the headlights.

Are these covers easily replaced and if so, how much will they cost?

I'm not a complete numpty when it comes to doing a bit of DIY so I'd expect to be able to fit these, going by the stuff here and on the hid50 web site.

Anyone already got these fitted in the Amble area who could lend advice ?

Thx
Mark.

Hi Mark, the kit that Les sells includes the caps (pre drilled) & mounting bracket, allowing you to save the originals.
