what brake pads for integral ABS

Hi Gsers

A friend of mine has the 04 GSA with integral ABS. The front brakepads are worn out and he asked me if he can fit non OEM pads because he heard that the integral bikes have problems with non OEM pads.
Is this true? I have trouble believing that a different brakepad will cause problems to the servo motor. The originals i think are tokiko or brembo.
What pads would you suggest?
