What could this be...Deffo need help

Mornin all,

I need your advice on where to start looking. Over the winter, every now and again, Ive dropped into the garage and started the bike - and Its started no problems. The last time was about 6 weeks ago.

Last week when I had to empty said garage - Nothing. The bike turned over just no start?? Yep checked clutch in, stand up, Kill switch good - Nothing

Ive just had chance to remove a plug & injector on one side.

I have a spray pattern and I have a spark. Ive not checked all Plugs and both injectors yet but surely it should have something ?

So where should I look next ?

Any ideas ?

If you start the engine periodically in winter and don’t let it get properly warmed up the plugs will foul,
Modern fuel is bad for this problem,
You may well have a spark at the plug out of the engine,but in the cylinder under compression the plugs track out,
Either bung some new plugs in or stick the old ones on the gas hob,get the electrode into the hottest part of the flame to burn off the benzene.
That would be my 1st course of action

If its the kill switch the bike wouldn't turn over would it ?

...OK Understood. Will try that before lashing out 200 quid on new HES.

Is there any way of checking if its the hall sensor ?

If the injectors are working and you have a spark,the hall sensor is working,

Wot mikeyboy said. Dunno about other old bangers, but it's common knowledge in the Laverda fraternity (my other bike) that you run a great risk of 'cold fouling' if you run the engine and then kill it before it's warmed up.
