I have these second pair of forks (and also a final drive). Been in a box (probably for decades) in Dubai, but now in the UK. Want to keep them in case needed in future, but I don't want them to deteriorate.
So whats the best thing to do? I don't want to spend hundreds of pounds getting them refurbed if they end up never being used.
In better nick than I first thought although noticed that one of the top do-dah (no idea what it does) bolts is missing. Haven't pumped them but seals look ok and no evidence of leaking (then again there may be no oil in there).
Any good ideas? Replinish the oil, wrap in clingfilm and bubblewrap?
