What do you recommend for the rear tyre

Being an IAM 'riding god' ;) I'm not heavy on the brakes or throttle but I would consider myself a fairly 'quick' rider.

You're always welcome to give me a shout when up this way, any excuse to get out for a ride on the bike :thumb2

Andres

Being an advanced rider, I don't consider myself slow an it's not often when out on the twisties do I do below 80, there has to be something else in the varied mileages.
Pressures and suspension settings can all contribute, also road types (tarmac)

post hijack...

PPPPPllllllleeeaaaaasssssse can we have a sticky thread for tyre recomendations. And a sticky for hugger recomendations as well !!!! :thumb2

Chilll out man :aidan see my previous posting, the Tourance are great tyres, I'm just unsure how people are getting the fantastic mileage they are claiming

well...

Any idea what these are like in the wet? I think they are fitted as OE on the 12RT now, are they stickier than the road Pilots? Do they have narrower side walls with the tread coming round further.

i've just ordered a pair so will let you know!

I've ridden both the pilot roads and Road attacks, the conti's are a lot stickier, but never tried them in the wet. Their tread pattern and form are very different to most other tyres, but might not last as long as pilot roads

As you can see the side wall is very small

But michelin has the new Pilot road2 out and I've not tried them, they are supposed to be better in the wet than the old pilots. Don't come in GS fitment though.

Thanks for the info terayon, tbh most tyres are OK in the dry, it's in the wet that the better tyres really shine. This seems to be especially true on the GS which handles reasonably well with most tyres.
