Could be a can of worms opening up here when the latest post brigade open this thread:blast

Well I'll start
home, clean air, beauty

A tad predictable perhaps..

Stunning roads and scenery.

Mostly friendly folk too!

pishing rain ,
beautiful scenery ,
cracking roads / routes ,
history ,
wonderful food , ( couldnt spell kwizine ) :blast
drink ,
midgies ,

As long as you get away from Glasgow and Edinburgh - then peaceful stunning scenery.

However if you read this forum then Jagermeister springs to mind :P - which I guess is the antidote for when it's pishing doon

Thought we'd already done this one.

My answer last time.........

Real roads that I've ridden faster on than any other roads in Europe.

Rain that doesn't seem to slow you down.

Bars that are for drinking in not for having a drink with a meal in.

Sunsets.

Fresh seafood cooked right and not fanny'd with.

Drunks who you can talk to without feeling sorry for them.

Glens and lochs.

People who know how to laugh.

Being eaten alive by midges and not giving a toss because of the scenery and company.

Airport workers who will give a terrorist a slap for trying to bomb his airport even when he's on fire.

Small ferry's

Tennets Extra Cold

A whole new language to learn.

Tartan carpet and dead animals heads on the wall in hotels

Wild camping

Telephone boxes in the middle of nowhere.

People who you meet that treat you like you've known them all your life.

Roads with no traffic on them for miles on end.

Happy days.

Same as I said on other thread...

Even although I live here, if I think of the word "Scotland", I immediately think of a particular favourite mountain that I've climbed numerous times. And single malt whisky.

Maybe not in that order though...:thumb2

Well after my last visit it's changed ....... :(

All i can think of are Pakistanys in Kilts and Scottish people asking me to translate to a Pakistany Kilt wearing Hotel owning chap so he could tell the Romanian Gypsey behind the bar who didn't speak any English that the Scottish Chap wanted some one to recomend him a Single Malt .......... :oonyack

You just couldn't make it up .............. :blast

You must have been to the Spittal Hotel Glenshee then?

For me Scotland is all about getting foo and chasing lassies across the heather whilst listening to the Proclaimers on my ipod. :beerjug:

You must have been to the Spittal Hotel Glenshee then?

Feck knows why anyone would go there now.

Hamilton Accies and Romanian Gypos in kilts are the last thing I want to serve me in a hotel in the highlands of Scotland.

Same as if I went to an Indian restaurant: I wouldn't want some white fecker wi' a Fife accent and wearing a turban for show to advise me on what curry to have...:(

Klanky should be worried..

...especially when ordering Chinese takeaways.

"War name you wan?...Mista Kranky?...velly goo, cully kin pron for Mista Kranky...worrabout ritter schooboy Kranky? Small porshin?"

Wish I could speak Gaelic, I really ought to learn now I'm enjoying the fruits of this fair land.
