What does a blown rear shock feel like to ride on?

Would it be bouncy?

If you go over a raised bump in the road (like on some parts of the M25 when the road sections join up after going over the M3 or M4 for instance), would the bike then bounce a few times before it settled back down or should it be up and over then dampened (like I thought shocks were meant to do)?

I have an 1150GS with 17" alloys and ADV suspension :augie

Reeeeaaaally bouncy.
The bike is not stable even on the straight lines. No damp. And you start touching the ground (pegs) more often.

So do you think what I'm actually feeling is the difference between a GS with GS suspension and my current set-up with GSA suspension?

It's stable in straight lines, but I get this whole bouncy thing going on (which is nice if you're with a lady but it ain't no good on the A322/M3/M25)!

Would I notice a bounce more when cornering? Or am I just picking really crappy lines when I'm out?

I'm down the road from you (live in Bagshot, work in Bracknell) - if you want to ride my bike as a comparison, pls just PM me and she's all yours.

I only live down the road and would love to have a bounce on the love of your life.:aidan

Now steady on, she's not that kind of a bike.... well not any more, anyway. Reformed character, and all that.
