Have been using the 1200lc every day for 3 months, its sooo quiet, whats the best silencer to get. The Akrop, are expensive, Mivv i thought was an ice cream. Any thoughts on the Yoshi. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I ran my 2016 with an Akra and didn't like it much on my tour to Ireland (it was too noisy). I also like the standard can looks. From previous experience, changing the headers gives a nicer sound - eager and deeper even through the standard pipe. Prices for headers seem to be around £600 for a Titanium Akra, £450 for stainless Akra, £400 for Remus and Arrow and around £300 for MIVV and GPR. All will do a good job. As for a cheap but good looking can (apart from the hanger ):

I liked my Termignoni 'Relevance' can I had on my 2014 GSA LC. I actually ended up putting the link pipe baffle back in as was too loud on constant motorways, but left the exit baffle out. Bike was pinched, can and all, but loved it while I had it. Stock on my new bike is quiet in comparison, but then again I wear earplugs........the Termi was almost antisocial in tight Soho streets of London, revurbing and crackling off the nearby walls!
Just something to be aware of if your considering a Yoshi can. If the nameplate on the silencer is badged "Yoshimura USA" I dont believe it will be road legal. From what I understand if it reads "Yoshimura Japan" the ones Ive come across are road legal. Just double check this out before considering a purchase.
Yoshimura Black Metal Magic Hepta Force Slip On Kit - Carbon Outlet Cap - Yoshimura Japan Road Legal.
It is in currently in UK stock and would be £517.75 Inc VAT and UK mainland delivery.
AFAIK unless they have a specific BSI mark (don't know which one) they are not legal for road use in this country and there aren't many that are. Even the Akras. Obviously few people care but it's worth doing your research.
