After ten years of sterling service, this happened this week:

I can’t be arsed with the hassle of refunds and returns. Any suggestions on what glue to use to reattach the sole?

Ive used Bostic ? contact adhesive with some success on some stuff

Take it to a old school cobbler , and see if they can glue / clamp it for you

NB Not the bigchain one in supermarket carparks , i find they just want to send it to an offsite centre & the costs were silly

Lancashire Sports Repairs are currently putting a new zip into one of mine. I'd have suggested them if you hadn't found a solution (see what I did there?).

Gorilla glue, or visit your local Timpsons repair shop, for a proper future repair....good you got sorted .

Are those new boots? 😳
The entire sole needs to be taken off, re corcked possibly. It’s completely dryer out. The other boot needs checked as well. This happened to me on a pair of Alpinesport boots after it got soaked and I left to dry. But it was 6 years old.
Unless you have a press that glue will not hold.
I follow this guy, he is young but uses old school methods

Agree with @zoltan
I know you said you didn’t want to send them back but if they are Daytona it’s really worth it. I had exactly the same issue on a pair of 12 year old new boots never worn. Kept them too long without using them Sent them back and they came like new. Cost me €115 incl postage. That’s my suggestion

After 10 years you can’t be bothered to return them? I’d love to see how you get on. Go on go on go on. JJH
