I have used Picasa and Picasa Web Albums for years based on a recommendation on here from Fanum. I am an infrequent user.
My workfow is Adobe PS Elements for storing and editing photos. Picasa runs in the background indexing. When I want to share I upload to Picasa Web Albums.
This morning I logged in to Picasa Web Albums and it looks like a lot has changed since I last used it. It seems to want to share my contact info with everyone, link to Outlook etc
I'm think whoa ........... I am not too smart with this stuff and I don't want to be responsible for sending my friends and family email details out to every spammer. I don't want the people I send share my photos with getting a load of spam from 'selected partners'.
I then get an email from a complete stranger saying they are following my photos.
I have a couple of questions.
Given that I am only infrequently uploading to the web to share with friends and I am a pretty private person should I be using something else ?
How do you nail down Picasa Web Albums so it is private ?
I am not fussed about moving away from Google.
