That would make perfect sense because it works ok in the morning when it's had about 15-16 hours to free off and drop to wherever it should be but when the tank has been filled it sticks at the top.
If they don't sort it out when it has the next service I'll try that solution for myself
I got the Metal Panniers (KTM Branded Givi Trekker Outback) which are very good, but make the bike even wider than the OE ones - which stick out a fair bit further than the GS Varios do when fully extended - but are great for our long Euro-Trips, for weekends away I just use top box / tank bag.
I tried a mates Explorer, very nice, felt fast and smooth compared to my S10 I had at the time, it is a bit smoother than the KTM - but much heavier with less power; plus with the shaft drive sapping even more of the Triumphs oomph it is nowhere near as fast and smile inducing as my 1190. It is still a great bike IMO and right up there with the GS if you insist on a shaft drive.
If I were designing the KTM's I would lower the exhaust on the S model and make some decent quality panniers that could then be narrower and larger, but apart from that (and the slightly soggy forks / crap screen / shite stock seat - also all things I changed on my Yamaha and BMW) I cannot fault the bike.

Well, the inevitable has happened and I placed s deposit on a new TB GSA. To good of a deal to be missed. Thank you all for your thoughts, suggestions & opinions.
Now the dreaded wait will start.
Watch out for farkles going up for sale from my GS, as I will not need majority of it on a GSA.
Nutty I agree , ridden with a few in Spain , good riders but to be honest , nothing really
in it between the bikes , only noticeable on longer straights and open sections , but any monkey can ride fast in a straight line , and ive never been overtaken by one yet , they have tried mind you ( GS to the core )
I do like the idea of the KTM , but not convinced yet , may need to ride one again , but all that power does not always relate to a constant fast bike , can sometimes overwhelm and intimidate.
The GS is a well proven and tested bike which grows with the rider and their ability. Plus the dealer support is brilliant. I'm not knocking the KTM at all as I do love then as a brand as have been racing them for years , and still do.
I'm no Rossi but I can ride a bike fast , and have owned many fast bikes but the GS is a great package and in no way boring , in fact a pleasure to ride.IMHO
