What is the bearing number of a front wheel on an R100GS ('89)?

I'm not happy with the bearing on the front of BB, an 89 R100GS, so I will be changing the front bearings asap. Has anybody got the bearing number or dimensions so i can purchase the bearing prior to stripping the bike?

as a side question, anyone removed these? im trying to, but theres not enough gap between the bearing and large central spacer to knock them out from behind. is it yet another case of bmw special tool no 837457562.8? cheers folks. karl.

About six of us spent/watching Bakermans front bearing be attacked ( removed ) at the Wee kend bash...was a right t**t to get out !!!

I"ve got several spares as I understod they were a weak point but I've never used them. What are you not happy about - is there some play at the wheel? or should they be changed as a precaution.

blinging my wheels, so i thought id change them whilst i have a pile of bits - theyve been through a lot.
