I intend to change the brake hoses on my '03 1150 (with i-ABS) to steelflex, same stuff which came as standard on the Adventure models.
So far I got all BM part numbers of the required bits. One bit I came across is called "Foil" and it seems it is in use for the rear brake hose on the Adv with steel flex but not for the standard GS. From the parts catalogue it is not very clear why this part is required for the steelflex system. :nenau

Does anyone know where this bit needs to go?

It's a sticky backed piece of foil that sticks to the swinging arm, stops the brake line chaffing and marking the arm.
