Ive got a Spada off road lid like the TourX or Hornet Offroad shape with peak and visor that's not bad Ive got a HJC tourmax similar to the others in shape peak visor etc bit its a flip front that's also not bad although id say a bit louder

on Sunday I tried my Shoei XR1100 a lid I really rate and it was very quiet but is neither a Off road or flip front lid but did seem good

I got home and searched the interweb on quiet helmets to find a 25 minute sales pitch from Revzilla in the states and the guy raved about the Shoei Neotech so I went out today and bought myself one in white with the neck curtain pinlock etc I fitted the Sena SMH10 tonight and although ive not used it on the bike as yet (tomorrow weather willing) it does seem a very quiet lid the music seems clear and loud

so ill hopefully try it tomorrow but just wondered what everyone else was using ?

I have a Tour x for off road (bloody heavy  but quite nicely balanced) and two Shoei XR100's for road.

I quite fancy a new lid but can't really justify £400 odd .... :thumb2

Sorry - you wear the helmet on your head................. not your bike. :blast

There is absolutely no connection between helmet and bike - no matter how hard you try!

I sense you'd be better with a Harley Davidson than a KTM...............

Trying to find a dealer with stock of the Nexx XD1 to try, write ups seem good.

Shoei Neotec also. Quiet and fairly light with Pinlock and drop down sun visor - a good helmet for road trips IMO.

Shoei hornet adv, much much better than the DS.

Shoei Neotec as well. I've just replaced mine having tested the crash absorption recently to the point of cracking the outer shell. Bar a bit of mild concussion I got away fine (Arsey said I was talking bollocks when he came to get me after I rang him to tell him I'd come off, but probably no more than usual to be honest..).

Bought the replacement from Wheelup.it in Italy... £302 + £10 shipping and arrived in 5 days. Compare that with P&H in Crawley who are after £469.99 for the same lid...

Great lid, really quiet, and setup with a Scala G9X for music off the iphone and satnav off the Zumo, paired with Ultimateear Soundears (Custom plugs with speakers). The end result is peace and quiet and fantastic music quality. Can't rate the soundears high enough to be honest.

Now wearing an Arai Quantum ST after a few Tour X's. I found the Tour X too noisy and buffity (is that a word ?) on the 1190. I honestly prefer having a peaked lid, so I'm waiting to see how the new Hornet Adv stacks up. I saw it at the NEC and liked the design, but having worn Arai lids since 1988, I don't know about fit and comfort of a Shoei.

Just waiting for mine to be delivered to Formotorbikes!
Looks like an excellent helmet and can't wait to get mine - but I don't ride a KTM :P

Never heard of the NEXX but googled it last night and it looks good as does the Hornet ADV never seen one of those either
I also prefer the peaked lid as you do Davy but only went for the Neotec as the XR1100 did seem a fair but quieter And Im sure Buffity is a world renowned biker term
Didn't use the bike today bottled it when I saw frost on the car lol
Ill give it a try hopefully before the 1290 Screen arrives or I wont know what's given the best result LOL
