fuel filler neck mod

Was that to allow you to fill the tank to the top rather than 'wasting' a litre or so of space? I'd be interested to see a pic or hear a description of what you did.

Mods

TT 41lt tank
Alloy panniers and t/box
Vario screen
Crash bars
Remus system
Extra power points 12v
GPS TT mount for sp3
Grill for oil cooler
Tank bag
TT tool box locking lid
Hand guard extensions
Air hawk
TKC 80s
That's about it, I think...

Is the oil cooler grill a worth while mod? talking to a BMW mechanic the other day, he said that he had never replaced one due to damage even in front on crashes.

Give it a stir
Sit Back and wait

Oh Autocom, Stop wifey falling asleep.

Modifications, what's them then?

Just for once I thought I'd leave one of my toys near enough standard seen as it's nearly brand new...

I have got a touratech Tank bag, I do carry my old garmin GPS12XL in the map pocket, bugger all use apart from when you stop and then check the appropriate OS map! Speaking of TT, did anyone see the TT rear bag that went for £50.51 plus £4.50pp, on ebay.. that's nearly as much as a brand new one

The only thing I've done is to fasten on a regatta bumbag to the rear luggage rack... big enough for a lock and chain at least, whilst I was waiting for the TT tankbag to arrive!

When you start out modifiying it'll never stop... my LandRover dates from 1966, and has gone through about 3 cylinder blocks, 3 chassis, 6 axles, 5 cylinder heads, 3 gearboxes, and a bulkhead... it ended up as a competition offroad vehicle, which didn't do it any good in the long run... but it just keeps plodding along, takes it's time but virtually unstoppable :thumb

What Modification

......in no particular order

1. Carbon hugger - stops your left leg getting soaked
2. Wally flaps from NN - keep your feet dry but look pretty awful
3. Big Foot stand plate from NN - stops the bike falling over on soft ground
4. TT screen extension - stops buffetting
5. Front mudguard extender from NN - keeps the engine cleaner

Regards

BEST:
Getting rid of the cat
GPS

MIDDLIN:
External fuel filter mod
Tobinators
S/S fastners
Changing TPS setting to alter mixture (does this count as a mod?)
Baglux
Steptoes Brake Pads (apart from the dust :D )
EON2 sparkies
Remus Rev (now taken off)

USELESS:
Wunderlich oil filler cap
TT centre-stand bashplate
Oil cooler grill
(interesting that all the shite mods I've done were vanity-based mods...)

BEST MOD I HAVEN'T DONE YET:
Ohlins

Some of the mods were on my bike when I bought it.... Tobinators and an extended rear rack.

I have got the SW Motech pannier rails with EIBC ali panniers. Couldn't be without them as I carry so much stuff about for work.

TKC80's fitted so I can do more offroading. :P

Hepko & Becker crash bars fitted.

Doing the Hella light mod at the weekend so I can see at night.

Future mods will be just little bits and pieces. :thumb
