Apologies if this has been done before.

I'm interested in what other bikes you ride and whether you find yourself riding your 1200/1250GS all the time because it's so damn capable?

I am fully committed to buy a new GS (I also have a 2000 850GS and a Ducati Diavel), but part of me thinks ill never ride the Ducati and only use the old GS for off roading and commuting

Keen to hear other people's experiences

I have had two bikes for a number of years, had an 1100s sport and a MZ Baghira supermoto, used the 11 for two up trips and longer solo trips and the MZ for work and blasts round the local lanes, when I swapped my 11 for a GS I thought I wouldn’t need two similar style bikes so sold the MZ as well, mistake.
I soon got a Yamaha XT660x and had both again for 5 years, again just using the XT for commuting and the lanes, but only did 1800 miles on the XT in that time as I’d retired and always used the GS, 4 weeks ago I changed the GS for a 1200r LC and sold the XT as well and was going to have just the one bike,………so yesterday I bought a VanVan!!
It will serve two roles so I can justify getting it, my wife wants to do her CBT(again)and we can tow it behind the camper, I used to have a Burgman 125 for the van but the seat is so wide my wife couldn’t reach the floor when she tried to ride it, the VanVan is a bit more user friendly for her and I don’t look too silly if I ride it.

I'm a lucky chap. I have ....

R100 GSPD 1994
Africa Twin XRV 750 2003
KTM 690 2014
Yamaha TTR 250 2003
KTM 890 Adventure 2021

The first four are all keepers - and probably the KTM 890 as I really like that too.

I ride them all - the Africa Twin and 690 have all been on long trips abroad.

The next long trip will be on the 890.

My Other bikes
A BMW C Evolution electric Scoot
A Harley Davidson Fat Boy
An R1250 GSA
They each stimulate a different part of my little brain:D:D

Alongside my 2020 1250GS I have a 2018 Harley Davidson Breakout 114 ANV. I ride the BMW more because its better to ride, more comfy and quieter. In fact I don't know why I have the breakout, I just do. Guess its because I like the colour. :D

Im a big fan of van van, very cool vibe and I always wondered why they didn't sell more of them.

I certainly think two bike is great, three is perhaps too many for me, but I'm sure I'd use all of them.

Just bought an ex-demo Roadglide.

Normally use my lowered R1250 GSA

2021 R1250GSA
2018 KTM 1090 Adventure
2005 Yamaha TDM900
2004 CCM 404E
1982 Suzuki GSX1100 Katana
1982 Suzuki gsx750 project

Soon to be late 70's Yamaha XS650

Have a 1200 GS LC and a Z900rs

The Kawasaki is a fantastic bike but since changing jobs I’m using the GS for commuting as well as weekends and trips away so it’s hardly getting ridden

Seriously considering going back to just the GS, or maybe get a mid sized scooter for the work run

1946 model U Harley 1300 side valve,foot clutch,etc,restored and owned for 12 yrs,used often for VMCC runs.
1978 Harley 1200 bought new in May 1978 for 3.5 K . Both were in frequent use till the GS arrived!

No, I am actually interested in people's opinions given that I am considering buying a versatile bike that i fear will make my other bikes redundant.

Thanks for your contribution by the way

If that is really the case then you must have 30 different bikes mentioned by now, which one will you choose?
