i have some wolfman rocky mountain bags to use on a 1150 adventurer but cant decide on rails .the only ones i can find which are flat and rectangular so i can secure bags with the 4 clips on the bags then the over seat strap are hepco and becker .the touratech ones are shaped around the exhaust so i dont think the bags will be very secure ,i want to use soft luggage as going to pyrennees in summer and will probably fall off so dont want ally boxes .if any body has any advice before i buy would be good unless anybody got any for sale .cheers mick

Givi usually the cheapest...

hi i contacted givi but they said they only did racks for 1150 gs and not the adventurer as would prefer givi ,so i assumed they must have different fitting points ,cheers mick

Should fit, as all the usual panniers Givi, Touratech, system etc fit the 1150 GS & GSA as everything is the same frame wise.

Correct
GIVI Pannier racks mount to the rear frame & footpegs mounts.
Not to any alloy parts

And a rear bar that goes from each side of the pannier racks and behind licence / number plate

I have the wolfman expedition panniers on my 1150 GS mounted on these plates
from winding roads

I have them on the sw motec evo rack system

And it works like a dream - maybe not the cheapest solution but it works
and the side racks come off quickly when you don't need to use them leaving a clean looking bike.

cheers it looks like the bracing bar connects to back number plate holder rather than braced to the other rail so on a crash it might brake number plate holder or unclick the fast connectors otherwise they look ok

They are pretty sturdy and don't forget the soft luggage will
absorb any impact better than hard cases which transmit everything
to the mounts/frame . Full PDF diagram is here

they look stronger than i thought is there a straight piece connecting both sides in front of the numberplate as well as the one connected to numberplate

Think I will get these ones. Do you do any off roading with these as planning a camping trip to pyrenees so will be on gravel roads cheers mick touratech ones might be OK if they didn't bend around exhaust
