I bought similar in Sept, but no luggage £11750

You can get a new gs triple black for near that money with a thousand pound contribution and panniers thrown in brand new with the full warranty although you have to have BMW finance.

too pricey, mate just boght one exactly as described from dealer £750 less than that

Just paid £11,995 for June 11 GSA, 6k miles, dynamic & premium pack, Ali panniers, BMW main dealer.

Think you'd be paying over the odds.

If you've listed the full spec then it's too much imo, even from a main dealer. I'd be wanting all the extras inc both packs, and security of the dealer. Although you will still have the remainder of the warranty.

That Spec new is over £15500 + it has Sat Nav £12500 would be reasonable have you seen it ? Tried to haggle? Advertised price is rarely what it sells for these days

That's assuming it has premium and dynamic pack, and that's list price which you wouldn't pay.

£12500 isn't reasonable for a private sale IMO when you consider Blobby's paid £500 less from a main dealer for a newer bike with similar miles, and is fully loaded :thumb2

Thanks for your comments

I figured it to be a tad expensive

I think 11K is about right

Not going to insult the guy with an offer £1750 below his ask

Insulting?

I don't think offering to buy someone's bike is insulting. Storming in with "your price is way too high, mate" will probably offend, but if you do it semi-apologetically, saying you understand it isn't what he's asking for, but you have scraped together all your cash and it's the most you can afford. You'd really love to have the bike, but you understand if he wants to wait and see if he gets a better offer. Say you've brought some cash as a deposit, just in case, so that he knows you're serious. If that doesn't do it, leave a number and if you get a call, great. If not, you've lost nothing. You can always mention you're going to see another bike the next day....

Almost by definition, if he hasn't sold the bike, it's priced too high, especially if you leave your offer until a couple of days after the bike goes on sale.

Look at it another way - you're actually doing him a favour by giving him an option
