Hi all, will be doing a bit of research but in the meantime.... I have in my garage a Honda CRM 250R on an H plate.

Mate left it there and will sell it to me. I know he is not best at looking after his bikes and so it has a questionable service history. I'm wondering what a good price would be to offer for it. Any ideas/:)

i'm not even sure that I want it, but for the right price could be a fun bike. Any thoughts on this model etc very welcome:beerjug:

One of you might even want to buy it if I dont!:clap

If its a crm mk 1 it will have convential forks , the mk 2 has silver upside down ones, the 2a had blue anodised upside down ones , mk3 has different graphics.
In running condition (even tatty) they start at about £300 to £700.
Anything that is cosmetically ok with an mot and road legal you will be looking at £800 plus up to say £1100 /£1200
As for the later models (ie the AR ) they are still going for £1300 to almost £2000.
Check out TBM magazine to get a better idea.

thanks for the informative reply:thumb. Its got siver forks with the external bits above the sliding internal bits (is that upside down?)

I just pulled the front brake lever and it clearly is fecked. The MOT has run out but has been road legal before. Bodywork shows lots of scrapes. I'm guessing will need a lot of TLC. He said I could have it for £500. Would that be a bite hand off price?

A hoot off road and with the right gearing more than capable of 90 mph on. They are an excellent greenlaner, parts are fairly cheap and for a two stroke they are quite long lasting and reliable.
If its a runner then probably worth it as the brakes, wheels, discs etc are interchangeable with xr parts.
Check the upper (alloy ) fork legs for corrosion. as said the crm web site is a great source of info.

Great bike.
£500 for a running CRM is a good price you could pay a lot more and still have to do some work. Leisure trail can supply all the parts for the bike next day delivery so thats not a problem.
I use mine for trail riding and thoroughly enjoy it, so much in fact that I ended up selling my GS as it was not being used.
The crm site is a full of info and well worth search around on it. TBM some time ago declared the CRM the ultimate trail bike and despite being 18 years old is not embarrassed on the trails when riding with the latest enduro tackle.
Give it a go you will easily get you money back and some more even selling it on ebay:thumb
