Hello Guys!!

I´m back to the 2 wheel world, better later than never. :beerjug:

I´m also back to Brasil and since our trip in Europe in 2006 (20.000 km in 25 countries) with the great R1150GS I haven´t had a bike. :(:(:(

Now comes the question, what should I buy???

I have a budget for a F800GS, but I went to the dealer and fell in love with the F800GS ADV, but then I went to the Tiger dealer and had a look at the 800XC, which looks nice to... BUT THEN, I looked into a 1200GS 2010 and found it VERY nice too

Well well, what are the pros and cons of a F800GS/800XC brand new, F800GS ADV 2014 and the 1200GS 2010??? :nenau

Should I look at something else?

Cheers all! :thumb2

Depends what you are going to use it for, i.e. long tours or journeys, off road, commuting etc. If off-road then I wouldn't recommend any as a smaller bike would be more fun off road.

If commuting, then either 800 is good - down to personal preference (although I'm personally not a fan of Triumph because of they I was treated when I went to try and test ride their bikes).

If longer journeys then definitely the 1200GS, its pretty much bang on perfect for so many types of riding ;)

Thanks!

I'm pretty decided on a 2015 F8GSA.

Of course everytime I look at the 12GS 2011/2012, I get second thoughts.

The F8GSA in Brazil doesn't come with ESA, and it's not possible to add, only in the 12GS.

Question is: Does ESA make a lot of difference?

It is noticeable but nothing you'll really miss - I do occasionally adjust mine but most of the time it just stays in sport.
