What side do you fill your fuel tank from?

In keeping with some of the other questions asked in the 1200 section I was wondering what side you fill your GS up with petrol from?

I fill mine up from the nearside.......That is unless I fill it up from the offside which I sometimes do when I can't get a space at a nearside pump and have to use an offside one!

Unless i'm travelling in Europe then the nearside becomes the offside and I do the reverse or if I'm riding Mrs P's G650GS which has the fuel filler on the offside or nearside if you're riding in Europe I usually fill it up from the offside or nearside.....If you get my drift....!

I always get on a pushbike, motorbike or horse from the nearside and it doesn't matter what side of the road you're riding on.......Oh, and I dress to the left.......!

I fill mine from the outside, and the fuel goes in the inside.

in all seriousness it depends which side of the pump I park on. I always stand between the bike and pump for some reason.

I stay sitting on the bike and fill it upright.

Mine's been sitting on the drive waiting for BMW Assistance to get it started for the last week.
It's only done 330 miles as well

Silly question. Bikes don't have an offside or nearside. Cars do, but not bikes. Bloody 1200 owners giving us a bad name.

Airheads have a port and starboard (or even a starboard and larboard)...

I don't know because it is a 1200 I'm afraid to use it in case it breaks down so I've never had to put any fuel in it.......

Au contraire, as any fule no you get much better mpg if you fill it from the offside.

Surely you should fill it from side the side-stand is on.

Bloody difficult to put a side stand down when you're on the wrong side.

Found this out the only time I tried to move a bike from the wrong side and the side stand flipped up.
