what size bolts for an adventure beak?

Is there anything special about the bolts for this, as I have the beak but no bolt.

I figured something like the flattish round coach bolts, with a nylock nut underneath, but thought I'd check. I'm sure bmw charge a mint for something like this but the hardware store should provide.

Thanks, very handy indeed, have ordered everything in stainless and it probably cost no more than regular steel from teh hardware store.

should mibys have bought your beak from bm dealer not as expensive as you may think and certainly cheaper than the ones i have seen sold on ebay and the bonus is they come with all the fixings
