What slide show software

I fancy having a go at putting together a slide show of some of my bike trips and wondered what peeps would reccomend?

Nothing too flash and has to be numpty proof :o Basic requirements are to be able to overlay text and fade in/out music.

I've had a play with Powerpoint and Moviemaker but neither seem to do what I want (easily) - maybe just me though :nenau

powerpoint is fine for most things.. needs abit of playing with to make it work right. Or what look at you after?
 
well I might change my oldfashioned mind now have watched Whattons slide show, which is nice and in kinda rostrum camera sort of way. You could do that in a simple editing package... or a gif or flash animater which can give more movement and make the piece look very different from a standard presentation show and tell
