I just arrived at work and parked up to see this dangling down by the swingarm...

Any idea what the heck it is an more importantly where it SHOULD be?

my 1150 has one and it is tucked up between the rear frame arm and the plastics - its just zip clipped in

Its for bleeding your clutch should be clipped in .Cable tie it Richard.

It's your clultch bleeding unit.
It should be cable tied to the rear frame, in the area where the brake switch/abs plugs in.

I used a yellow cable tie to secure yours, have a look if it's still in place...

To have worn the sponge tube around it that much it's been phaffing around for quite some time!
