I got a 'free' pair of panniers with my LC, now I am more of a top box and dry bag man, but they are awfully nice and I am sure I will use them. Trouble is, where do you put them? My friend keeps his on his bike all the time, they are also very heavy.

So I found some bits of old wood in the garage, bought some hooks from Homebase for less than a tenner and now they have a home in my garage out of the way, happy days :)

The bikermate's saviour.....you iz da man.

Naturally, the panniers and hooks being on the piss and unevenly spaced is just a trick of the camera. :augie

Even the supposed "god" that is Hooton fucked up his expensive ones by them being massively on the piss as he either didn't or couldn't be bothered to take into account the taper on the subframe and offset the brackets accordingly so the hang on the wall like a pair of drunks

The OCD members on here are going to have a fit , well done that man

Sorry to piss on your chips but

You'll sooner or later
bang your head on the top mount / box.
You'll put more scrapes and dents on the lower boxes by passing by and clanging them with something than if you left them on the Bike.
I stuff mine in the general vicinity of the back of the shed - least traffic and out of the way.

But fair play for getting up off yer arse and making SOMEthing!
... I've to get higher up off me own arse meself. :blast

Clever use of the shockingly warped piece of plywood used as a shelf means that it touches both brackets.

:D

If you don't use them, sell them and add the money to the pension pot.
You can thank me later.

Yeah, well. I'm a little bit OCD. So did the same and built some shelves....

Bit over the top, but I had a couple of days spare and thought it would look nice with a lick of paint and topped it off with some skid plate and edging trim painted letterbox red

to the op; why would you use the top box and look like the pizza delivery when you could use the panniers and look like a round the world hero?:D

What is that strange yellow thing in the first picture? I am seriously impressed with your workmanship. Promise to do better next time:hammer
