What to look for on a second hand 1150

I'm starting to look at second hand 1150s, can anyone give any pointers on what to lookout for when viewing?

Make sure the ABS works.
Otherwise you will have to become a genius in resetting and/or fiddling with the bloody thing.

Hi Ant,

My advice would be to have a good read of this forum, there a lot of areas to consider, clutch if it has done 35,000 miles plus (expensive), ABS can be a problem as previously stated.

Starter motors can be an issue, Hydraulic clutch slave cylinder for bikes that have been ridden over winter, Paintwork on the fork brace/legs, to name but a few. Although all this is worth it for the shear ridding pleasure and the ease of service and repair the GS offers.

Cheers guys, thaks for the tips, I have been reading around this and other gs related forums. I'm booking a test ride for next week so I should be able to sample a gs + get a feel for what i want soon.
