What tyres has everyone got and any comments?

I am expecting delivery of my new LC next week:fnikefork

On my test ride I lost the back end a couple of times when I was expecting more grip. I run Roadsmart II's on my TC and they stick like the proverbial in all conditions.

There doesn't seem to be any road focussed tyres available for the new rim sizes as yet.

Anakee, Tourance Next and Continental all claim to be OE suppliers so is it a lottery on tyres?

Which is best on the LC?

How many miles on demo bike?? Tyres not scrubbed in perhaps?

Don't know milage 'cos when dealer was showing me the display I got a bit dizzy with all the numbers. There's a tun of info in the computer inc digital engine temp (oil/water?) and total / trip engine running time.

The bike had done some miles though - didn't have much fuel in it and didn't get the customary warning from dealer 'to take it easy on new tyres'.

Vines always thoughtfully put my S1000 into rain mode when they change the tyres just in case I forget and always give me the verbal as well, so I think they would've told me if they were spankers.

Wonder if they will do the same on the GS now you can change the traction settings?

Test rode the LC on Friday ( then bought one ) it was very wet and raining , put it this way the bike rode pertectly.( example)
The road was from Ombersley to Tenbry Wells and this is a rural A road , bumpy and and not the best surface , i had no probles in these conditions at speeds of between 90 to 110 mph this bike handles very well and at no time had me woried about grip as the tronics work. The slipper clutch is a god send again as approaching corners at speed in the wet , shitty roads and standing water chaning down several gears , revs lift and lift but no issues from the rear ....WELL DONE BMW...... hit the nail on the head.
The extra power is welcome but the overall bike is fantastic.:blagblah Strangley reminds me of my KTM 990 sm great fun but now grown up
