How much did you pay for your BMW Vario top box?

I just called my dealer to enquire about a price for the side panniers, the kind gent also gave me a price for the top box too, which was about £100 cheaper than i was charge when i bought the bike and top box at the same time!

My dealer (Battersea/Park Lane) quoted £250 inc VAT for the top box and £420 for the side boxes, with the key barrel coming to about £45 for all 3.

Does this sound right?

I need to go dig out the receipt to be sure.

I just brought the top box and plate which came to £290, the price for the top box seems right to me, i dont know about the panniers tho.

before i put mine and my mates varios up for sale on the for sale forum i checked with the dealer and got a print out saying side box right £178 side box left £178 top box £224 locks £24 rear rack £80 mounting plate £46 support bar £22 all plus vat i hope this helps

this would make the pair of side cases roughly £430 including vat then you still need a pair of locks so £450 sounds about right
i would keep watching the for sale forum as we sold ours for £350 a pair with locks or post on the wanted section some one will have a set they want to sell

Bought my Vario side boxes off here... 2nd hand for 250 quids....

Took out the old lock barrels, and Battersea BMW re-coded them for NOWT !!


Very happy with the deal....n worth being a subscriber on here for what I have saved.

Buy used I paid $289 for the top case and bracket. All I did was post (looking for…) on adventure rider site and received eight replies back. Some don’t like to ship out of the states but I am sure some one over there must have one that they want to be rid of. Just get lots of pictures. I use my rear case way more then the sides or tank bag. It’s just easy to remove and carry in to work and fits everything. I didn’t lock it down once and needless to say it ended up on the road at 80km. Only the front top plastic guard broke and replacement cost was $28 Canadian and four screws. The lap top was fine as well. Dave from across the pond.
