33.50 Celcius yesterday - Scorchio!

11.50 Celcius today, cloud down to 1000m - rain and visilibity reduced to about 3 meters on the Col d'Aubisque and much of the way along the Pyrenees westwards. Didn't seem to bother the sheep, horses or goats though.

Just shows, you never can tell.

Bizarre again.

Crossed over into Spain and saw 38.50 Celsius indicated on the 1200's thermometer at about 17:00..... back up into the mountains at around 17:30 as clear as a bell and very warm. Went around a bend, the temperature dropped to 14 C and the visibility to zero in about five meters....... had to give up on the passes and go the long way back via Lourdes.....
