Hello all,

anyone know what happened to earplugs.gb.com? It was a pretty basic website but great place to get earplugs - cheap, simple, reliable.

I just went to order some more and the website's just timing out (404 page not found) :(

Anyone know if they've given up/gone bust/rebranded?

Any other recommended sourses of Classic Soft disposable earplugs?

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing, as I tried to give a recommendation to a friend. It's ages since I bought my box of 250, but the address on the box sticker is a POBox no. in Coventry so I guess Clive's lead might be worth following.

Googling produced this firm http://www.safetysupplies.co.uk/trolleyed/4/index.htm but I can't say if the service is any good. They stock the EAR Classics.

Hopefully Dreamer can supply the name of a reliable supplier in a few days time if anyone's interested.

Lucy Dell - Earplugs by post

Seeing the reference to buying earplugs from us, I thought I would add a reply. We've been in business for over 15 years and although you can still access our pricelist through http://members.aol.com/lucydellearplugs/pricelist.htm or www.lucydellearplugs.co.uk our main website address is now www.earplugsbypost.com as that's easier for people to remember. There are pictures of the plugs as well as prices, an earplug guide and so on. We stock around 40 types of earplug and have supplied plugs to most of the main publications over the years - MCN, Bike, PB, Ride, Superbike, etc - including supplying plugs to Ride for them to test - and we accept payment online. If you know what plugs you want, that's fine, but if you aren't sure what plugs you want, try our TestPack - 20 different pairs for £9.95 including delivery.

Well, Lucy, it seems Parky posted a working link. The two links that you posted return an AOL Hometown "can't find that page" error.

Website Access problems

Yes, there are technical problems from time to time but these usually only last a very short time. Sometimes a revised page is being uploaded, while this is happening the page can't be accessed. Sometimes it is other reasons. I've just checked the links and they are working fine at present, so it must have just been one of those moments. If the page fails to load, I suggest waiting 10 seconds then refresh; if it still doesn't work, refresh a few times more - if it still doesn't work, leave it a minute and try again. And if it still doesn't work, let me know! However, all the web addresses will be maintained for the forseeable future, so you can use whichever you like.
Technology is wonderful - when it works!

I wasn't sure whether to mention it, as the deal was done 'off-line', but PanzerPhil kindly supplied me with exactly what I needed at a modest cost and very quick delivery. :thumb2

I'm sure if you PM'ed him he's do the same for you ;)

Thanks Phil, you're a gent. :beerjug:
