Cheers Chris.

Hi, thanks for the reply. yeh i have seen that mate as i also googled wht's in the box.........but its not specific, i mean is there a weather shield for both car and bike cradles....yeh i know....why would you need one in a car......maybe a have a convertable :)

Cheers Chris

Not wishing to appear rude, how much more specific can anyone make it?

Is a weather shield listed?

Do you have anything that might look like a weather shield?

Does the waterproof 660 need a weather shield at all?

New suggestion: You call Garmin and talk to them on the phone, describing the items, one-by-one, to see if they are all there.

Alternatively, visit a dealer's, ask them to open a box up (pretend you want to buy one) and see what jewels lie within. It will be like one of those games when people put items on a tray. You look at them for a minute and then try to remember what they all were. Taking a paper and pencil along will be cheating .... but only if you get caught.

To save you all that: No, it does not have a weather shield.

Sorry guys perhaps i worded it wrong its the shield you put over the cradel when you remove the sat nav from the bike...thinking about it now guess it would be stupid to have one for the car mount aswell :blast

Cheers Chris

Excellent.... :clap

...Welcome, by the way to UKGSer.... Lots more fun to be had :thumb2 :beerjug:

PS You might be able to buy just the 'cover' thing by calling Garmin or one of the dealers.... Garmin do not sell direct to the public but I have bought a couple of one-off items by asking them nicely. It costs just a phone call.

Keeny *If* the box was opened and you suspect part(s) missing, then take Wapping's advice and speak to Garmin (line # 2 for product support, and name the reseller who sold it to you).

Just for clarity there is one "weather" cover in the box that fits over the bike mount, and they do sell them separately (read it on the Zumo forum some while ago - a few quid IIRC).

If you are desparate for one, ask around if anyone has had a replacement unit under warantee and received the whole package (not uncommon with Garmin - lovely sorts) and got a 2nd lying aornd they don't need/want. From what I remember 5 or 6 quid for a 20p bit of plastic, with a 2p rubber ring on it is a bit steep :augie

cheers

Are they still selling the stuff in unsealed boxes? I spoke to Garmin about that a couple of years back, nothing changed… :augie
