What is that really

That my guessy friends is the hole that the brass air by-pass screw goes into.
Used to balance the throttle bodies at tickover and also to adjust tickover speed.
As you can see where the casting is machined to make a seat for the taper screw there are holes in the metal.
This made getting a consistant tickover and balance next to impossible.
Both bodies replaced under warranty.:slideface
