Whats the difference??

Whats the differences between the "light" GS and an Adventure? also what came with what brakes and what is everyone s opinion abs or non abs??
Im not the kind of bloke to just spend £10k on a bike without riding it and am looking for as much info about differences as i can get before i part with cash! Still like the old 1100 tho and lots of people have said the 1150 isnt really any better?

Opinions please.

I'm no expert, I only got my 1200GS in April having tried a mates 1150 Adventure. I prefer my bike as it is a lot lighter, has better manners on-road however I think the Adv looks the dogs, I like the styling of the 1200 but have heard a few 'plastic' comments. These bikes are very much a personal choice, what works for one rider doesn't necessarily work for another. I think you need to approach your local BMW agent for a lengthy test ride of each model, then you can decide which is best for you.

Loads of differences Demonbiker, but (and this isn't your fault) it's all been covered many many times before....particularly the ABS/Servo debate.

This isn't meant to sound flippant or condescending honestly, but if you try the search button at the top of the page and type in a few keywords, you'll find so much information and so many opinions that you'll be reading for hours
